Corporate History
Jonathan Blake, having come up with the idea for a managed IT services/support organisation,
created keystone in 1997. Taking advantage of a gap in the market at this time for supported
IT systems he and his then partner registered Keystone Computer Solutions in December of 1997.
Both having strong technical backgrounds the idea initially was to complete 12 month contracting
for support services. However, after just one week, Jonathan had convinced what is now known as
Hallmark to allow Keystone to provide all the emergency support for their IBM partners.
April 1998 gave us a flying start with our first six-figure contract with a major blue chip
company, bringing much needed capital into the company so early in our life. This is still seen
as one of our most momentous events by many of our longstanding staff.
In 1999, the appointment of Mark Farnsworth, partnering up with Jonathan as joint Company
Director saw the beginning of a new era of growth, with Mark bringing home many large contracts.
Mark now heads the Sales team as Sales Director and personally oversees all of our contracts.
Since our formation in 1997, we have developed from providing Trade Technical Services and
Solutions around the complex UNIX operating system platforms to specialising in IBM RS/6000,
HP9000 and SUN Microsystems architectures and supplying in depth expertise in the specifying,
installation and maintenance of all UNIX and Intel based systems. Providing our customers with
an unrivalled level of service and technical ability, available from initial consultation
through into onsite installation and on into long term support of their whole IT investment.
Our business philosophy has developed to provide a single point of reference for IT solutions,
products and services.
Our relatively rapid but ever continuing growth has come about through the methodical
recruitment of dedicated staff that has brought individual abilities, expertise and talent
to every business area. With this ethos of expertise and professionalism at the fore, Keystone
can only move forward with its provision of professional computer solutions and services.
