Q. “I’ve heard somewhere that to be eligible for AIX upgrades I must have an AIX Support Contract direct with IBM, is this true?”
A. No this is not true, to be eligible for FREE AIX upgrades you must have an IBM AIX Support Contract (SWMA agreement), however this contract is purchasable via an IBM Business Partner or IBM Direct. AIX upgrades are purchasable at any time even if you have 3rd party support agreements. Keystone are an accredited IBM Business Partner.
Q. “To reduce costs is it possible to have 3rd Party HW Maintenance but keep my SWMA agreement?”
A. Yes, Keystone can provide mixed solutions with either the manufactures SW or HW Support in addition to a third party agreement to make a full solution.
