Great Training Opportunities from Keystone In February Keystone offered and successfully completed a FREE 2 day introductory training course in Sun Solaris 9 (usually costs £500 + VAT). As part of our Training Solutions, we began the first stage of this three-part course, with delegates ranging from customers, partners and some of our own Staff. The course provided the delegate with an understanding of the SUN Solaris operating system and was ideally suited to those who are completely new to or have a very basic understanding of the Solaris Unix environment and wishing to begin preparation for the SUN Microsystems Solaris 9 System Administration Part 1 and Part 2 Exams. The next stage of the course - SUN Solaris 9 System Administration Part 1 is planned to commence later this year, if you are interested in partaking in this course it will prepare you for the SUN Solaris 9 System Administration Part 1 Certified System Administration exam. Charity Karters on track for world record Keystone took part in a 24hr record-breaking Karting event in February, which raised more than £12,500 for various charities chosen by the participating teams. The event took place at Fast Lane Karting, in Fenton (nr. Stoke) and saw 11 teams drive 5,767 miles around the track from 7pm Friday 27th Feb until 7pm Saturday the 28th. The organisers have applied to the Guinness Book of Records to create a new category, as there is currently no world record for the furthest indoor karting distanced covered. We came 5th out of the 11 teams and our share of the collection was donated to The Marie Curie Fellowship Fund. Keystone to sponsor in racing series The MX5 is coming back with a vengeance this year in a new club-level series MaX5 Racing. Former Porsche 924 racers Jon Halliwell and Alyn Robson developed the concept based on the original MX5 Championship run by Mazda in the UK in 1990/91 and the American spec Miata MX5 Championship, which is hugely successful and the fastest growing form of motorsport in the U.S. The 11 race series, which is due to commence at Pembury, South Wales on 15th and 16th of May, has the full back up of Keystone with sponsorship of two cars in the series, which will take place at various venues around the country throughout the year.
