The ride is the idea of Kevin Gent, an ambulance technician from Derbyshire who works for the East Midlands Ambulance Service based at the King’s Mill station, Nottinghamshire.

European IT Excellence Awards 2008.
Keystone Computer Group recently entered the European IT Excellence Awards in the category of Enterprise IT Solution. We are pleased to announce that, following the judging of this section, Keystone Computer Group are through to the finals which will be held at The Hilton Intercontinental, Frankfurt on Thursday 7th February 2008.
We based our entry on work carried out for one of our Blue Chip companies who were looking for a new IBM Hardware and Software Solution as a business decision to replace their existing IT Infrastructure, driven by the application vendor, and to adhere to projected growth for the company over the next three years.
Keystone through its IBM Business Partnership status and recognized excellence in this arena addressed all the customer issues and concerns surrounding implementing new complete systems into a "live" production system to produce a competitive solution.
Keystone provided a complete solution specifically designed to meet client requirements and through TAG (telephone, advice, guidance) support, ensured delivery, performance and future scalability. Keystone's technical experience and knowledge of the client's IT infrastructure allowed a unique and genuine integrated solution to be provided. The client had been considering other manufacturers for hardware supply, but through advice, guidance and Keystone reference sites, the confidence in our ability to deliver reliability and future proofing using the IBM portfolio of hardware, software and storage encouraged them to proceed with the proposed solution.
To quote the client: "the introduction of our new server requirements has allowed the business to operate more efficiently, with quicker response times and provided a foundation for expansion".
On the strength of the work done, the client has since ordered, and completed a similar project to replace their HR and finance servers with new IBM PSeries servers and SAN storage solutions providing the back bone of the technical architecture.
Keystone Computer Group, Title Sponsors of POWERnights 2008

The organisers of POWERnights, the Thursday Evening Summer Motorsport Series, are pleased to announce that leading UK IT specialists, Keystone Computer Group, have become the title sponsor of the 2008 series, which will now be known as the Keystone Computer Group POWERnights 2008.
Uttoxeter based Keystone Computer Group supported POWERnights in its inaugural season last August. Keystone Managing Director Jonathan Blake was suitably impressed by the POWERnights concept and decided to make the company the full title sponsor for the four events at Silverstone in 2008. Founded in 1997, Keystone Computer Group has become one of the UK's leading IT specialists with a business philosophy of providing a single point of reference for IT solutions, products and services.
Jonathan Blake, Managing Director Keystone Computer Group said: "We are extremely pleased to increase our support to become full title sponsor of the 2008 POWERnights. The three events held in 2007 clearly demonstrated that both the public and competitors wholly embraced this exciting new concept. POWERnights provides a great platform for us to promote our brand and invite our customers to enjoy a great evening of motorsport action."
"After their support this year, we are delighted to announce the Keystone Computer Group as the title sponsors of the 2008 POWERnights Series," said Roger Etcell, POWERnights Series Director. "We have always believed that POWERnights is a very marketable concept, promoting motorsport entertainment to both motorsport enthusiasts and a new audience. To have this belief confirmed by securing a title sponsor after just three trial events is very gratifying and we look forward to working closely with Jonathan and the team at Keystone."
The POWERnights concept of a full days testing and qualifying, with eight 10 minute evening races, along with other entertainment, had a positive reception from competitors, spectators, sponsors and the media in its inaugural season of three events last August. The added bonus of TV coverage and prize money attracted large grids of easily recognisable race cars for spectators to enjoy.
Keystone Computer Group POWERnights 2008 provisional calendar
The 2008 POWERnights events will be run along the same framework as in 2007, with the aim to entertain existing enthusiasts and attract a brand new audience to watch UK motorsport with a comprehensive and entertaining programme of track action, stunt displays, interactive competitions, music and a post race 'Party-in-the-Paddock' that is open to everyone attending the POWERnights events.
